Alexia Davies

Alexia Davies is a seasoned professional in philanthropy and conservation with extensive experience in donor engagement and fundraising. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Donor Engagement and Major Gifts Officer for the African Wildlife Foundation since January 2020, Alexia is focused on developing individual giving programs in the UK. Previously, in roles such as Head of Philanthropy at the British Horse Society, Alexia successfully secured over £95K in three months through effective relationship management and proposal writing. Earlier career experiences include serving as Chief Operating Officer and UK and US Operations Manager at African Conservation Experience, where significant business growth was achieved, and as Large Mammal and Primate Keeper at Bristol Zoological Society, where Alexia contributed to conservation awareness through media engagement. Alexia holds an MBA from the University of Exeter and a BSc in Zoology from the University of Southampton.
