Maria Sakki

Maria Sakki is an experienced HSE Engineer currently employed at AFRY since January 2023, with a focus on risk analyses, hazardous area classifications, and chemical safety permitting. Prior to this role, Maria worked as a Quality Engineer at Sonoco, overseeing the quality management of winder core plants and implementating local quality strategies. Maria's career also includes positions with UPM - The Biofore Company as a Quality Control Specialist and Quality Controller, where responsibilities encompassed quality management projects and manufacturing processes. Additional experience includes environmental planning as a Volunteer Environmental Manager for Roihu 2016 and project coordination for the Eco-support project in Kotka. Maria holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Technology from Mikkelin ammattikorkeakoulu and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sustainable Development from Laurea ammattikorkeakoulu.
