Michael Siyuan Dong is an experienced energy market consultant and analyst currently employed at AFRY since February 2022. Prior to this role, Michael worked as a Research and Teaching Fellow in Smart Energy at Keele University, contributing to a project on cybersecurity within smart local energy systems as part of the EnergyREV consortium. Previous positions include Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Sheffield and Researcher PhD Student at both EIFER - European Institute for Energy Research and EDF Energy. Michael completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Energy Storage from The University of Sheffield, after earning a Master of Engineering in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from the same institution and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from North China Electric Power University.
