Ruth Blackstock

Ruth Blackstock is an experienced school counselor currently serving grades 3-5 at Dresden Elementary School since June 2019. With a strong background in counseling, Ruth previously worked as a long-term substitute school counselor at City Schools of Decatur in early 2019, providing individual and group counseling to students, families, and staff. Additionally, Ruth has been a volunteer with AFS Intercultural Programs since 2005, supporting the organization's mission to promote intercultural learning. Ruth's extensive professional experience includes roles such as Global Marketing Manager at AJC International and Export Sales Manager at Wayne Farms LLC. Educational qualifications include a Master's in School Counseling from Mercer University, a Master in International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor's degree in French Language and Literature/Business Administration from Baylor University.
