Ward Torfs

Ward Torfs is an experienced Reliability Engineer and Quality Manager at Umicore since November 2018, where responsibilities include defining and maintaining the overall quality strategy for Olen refining and implementing improvement projects. Previous experience includes roles at Philips Lighting, starting as a Process Engineer in 1997, progressing to Development Engineer, and later serving as Application Manager, where technical support was provided to OEM accounts in Europe and Asia. Additional positions include Process and Quality Engineer at IAC Group and a Sales Delegate role at Bosal Research N.V. Ward holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Institut Technique Superieur Cardinal Mercier and has pursued further education in personal leadership and impact, as well as various training programs related to quality and technology.
