Gretchen Haupt

Gretchen Haupt is a skilled professional with extensive experience in research, evaluation, and visitor engagement within the museum field. Currently serving as a Field Representative for AFSCME MN Council 5, AFL-CIO since September 2025, Gretchen previously worked at the Science Museum of Minnesota from May 2012 to August 2025, holding roles as an Evaluation and Research Associate and Museum Evaluator, where responsibilities included managing research studies and presenting findings to inform decision-making. Prior experience includes research work at the Missouri Historical Society, interpretive programming as a Park Guide for the National Park Service, and visitor research support at the Saint Louis Science Center. Academically, Gretchen holds a Master of Arts in American History with a focus on Museum Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, both from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
