Blaine Rummel

Blaine Rummel is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in strategic communications and public relations. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at AFSCME since January 2015, Rummel previously held roles as Chief Strategist at In the Public Interest and Associate Director of Communications at AFSCME. Additional experience includes work as Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic National Committee and Director of Communications at the Coalition To Stop Gun Violence. Rummel began a career in communications as an Account Executive at both Fenton and Edelman. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Public Administration from The George Washington University School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Penn State University.
