Michael Krel

Michael Krel possesses extensive experience in the biotechnology sector, currently serving as a Board Member for multiple companies including Microphyt, Meiogenix, ELICIT PLANT, Werewool, Enginzyme, and AFYREN, alongside a role as a Board Observer for Comet Bio. As a Partner at Sofinnova Partners since March 2013, Michael is integral to the Industrial Biotech team, focusing on early-stage investments in industrial biotechnology and renewable chemistry. Previous leadership experience includes serving as CEO of EnobraQ, a Sofinnova portfolio company, and VP of Business Development at Deinove. Michael holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from École Polytechnique and ICSN, with academic credentials that include a Baccalauréat from Lycée Lamartine.
