Program Specialist at Agape Child & Family Services

April Terrell, MPA, currently serves as the NEXTLevel Lead Coordinator at STREETS Ministries since August 2024. Previously, April held the position of Program Specialist at Agape Child & Family Services from April 2021 to August 2024 and was the Executive Director at The Destiny House from January 2020 to April 2022. April's earlier experience includes roles as a Program Associate at The College Initiative and Family and Community Engagement Specialist at Shelby County Schools. Additional positions include Safe Summer Coordinator for Memphis Gun Down, Volunteer Coordinator/AmeriCorps VISTA at Urban Youth Initiative, Enumerator with the U.S. Census Bureau, and an intern with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville. April holds a Master of Public Administration from Tennessee State University, obtained in 2009, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from the same institution, awarded in 2007.

Agape Child & Family Services is a Christian-based organization providing children and families with healthy homes throughout the Mid-South. Through support and wrap-around services, Agape seeks to provoke community restoration. Agape's services include: homeless services, foster care, adoption, maternity services and counseling, school-based initiatives and community support and referral.
