Sara Imhof has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Sara worked as a Senior Director and Regional Economic Competitiveness Officer at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center. Before that, they served as the Director of Education & Grassroots Advocacy at The Concord Coalition, where they organized public forums and led discussions on federal fiscal challenges. Sara also worked as a Fellow at the North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership and as a State Director for the First Budget Campaign in Iowa. Additionally, they were an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Iowa and served as a Consultant at the Iowa Counties Public Health Association. Earlier in their career, Sara worked as an Instructor at the University of Iowa and as a Senior Analyst at the US Government Accountability Office, where they conducted health policy analysis. Sara also worked in hospital development at the Iowa Donor Network and Iowa Lions Eye Bank.
Sara (Baker) Imhof received their B.S.N. and M.A. degrees in Nursing and Health Promotion from the University of Iowa. Sara later completed their PhD in Health Policy from the same university between 2001 and 2006.
