Mathias Twizeyimana

Plant Pathologist & Project Lead at AgBiome

Mathias Twizeyimana started their work experience in 2003 as a Research Fellow at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). Mathias then worked as a Postdoc at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2008 to 2011. In 2012, they joined the University of California, Riverside as a Postdoc, studying biology and the symbiosis of Fusarium sp. or Graphium spp. and the beetle vector (Euwallacea sp.

Finally, Mathias Twizeyimana joined AgBiome in 2014, where they initially worked as a Plant Pathologist until 2017. Mathias then took on the role of Plant Pathologist & Project Lead in January 2018.

Mathias Twizeyimana attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2007 to 2008, but did not complete a degree or field of study at that time. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2008, they studied at the University of Ibadan and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Plant Pathology/Phytopathology. Before pursuing their PhD, they completed a Master's degree in Plant Pathology/Phytopathology at the University of Ibadan, graduating in 2003.
