Julie Marner

Julie Marner is an accomplished music ministry director with extensive experience in various roles within educational and religious institutions. Currently serving as the Director of Music Ministry at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church, Newman Center UCSD, and UCSD Newman Center since 2017, Marner also contributes as a Pianist at the University of San Diego since 1999. In addition, Marner provides music education at Green Elementary and previously at La Mesa-Spring Valley School District, engaging students in dynamic music activities. Marner has a strong background in leadership as the Executive Director of Burundi Friends International from 2013 to 2022 and served as President and Director of Music at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 2010 to 2016. Marner holds a Master’s degree in Theology from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
