Michael Mainville

Michael Mainville has extensive experience in journalism, serving in various roles at AFP since March 2007, including Asia-Pacific Regional Director, Moscow Bureau Chief, and Middle East and North Africa Deputy Editor-in-Chief. Previous positions include Head of the Middle East and North Africa Desk, Paris Correspondent, Europe/Africa Desk Editor, and Caucasus Correspondent. Prior to AFP, Michael Mainville worked as a reporter for The Prague Post from February 2001 to July 2002 and at the Montreal Gazette from May 1998 to February 2001. Michael Mainville holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Carleton University, earned between 1993 and 1998.
