Katherine McMahon has a diverse range of work experience. Katherine started their career as an intern and contributing writer for Reductress, an online satirical women's magazine, where they published articles critiquing popular women's media. Katherine then worked as a script reader for Scott S. Productions, providing coverage and analysis on theatrical scripts. Additionally, Katherine served as an intern at MSNBC, shadowing a senior segment writer and producer and gaining experience in live television production. Katherine also worked as a Keeper Trainee at Tampa Bay Busch Gardens, assisting with animal care and contributing to public outreach efforts. Katherine's experience also includes positions at Coalition Theater, where they served as an assistant to the founder and owner, handling general administrative tasks and managing media and public relations. Katherine also worked as a producer, head writer, and assistant director at Deakin TV, completing an intensive course in live television production and leading a live-streamed program. Most recently, Katherine has been employed at APA Agency, where they have held various roles in the Brand Partnerships and Strategic Marketing Division, including coordinating brand partnerships, assisting the head of branding and digital, and currently working as an agent in the same division.

Katherine McMahon obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Virginia, graduating in 2018. In 2017, they also participated in a Study Abroad program at Deakin University, focusing on Film and Television Studies.
