Sebastian Denef, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sebastian is currently the Chief Product Technology Officer and Co-Founder of AGENTS.inc, where they focus on bringing the power of AI to users. Prior to this, they were the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of the same company. In addition, they are a Co-Founder of NeoPTO, which they joined in 2020.

Sebastian also has experience as a Board Member at IPERF International Institute for Research Performance Management and Innovation Management e.V., where they advise companies on improving research and technology transfer. Sebastian is also the Owner of denef.design, a position they have held since 1999.

Sebastian has worked as a Visiting Professor at Innopolis University since 2016 and as a Research Fellow at Fraunhofer IAO from 2016 to 2018. In the past, they served as the CEO and Co-Founder of UBERBLIK GmbH from 2014 to 2016, and as a Project Lead and Entrepreneur at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft from 2013 to 2016.

Sebastian's work experience also includes being a Research Fellow at Fraunhofer FIT from 2006 to 2012, as well as an Associate at stiftung neue verantwortung from 2008 to 2009.

Sebastian Denef, Ph.D., began their education by earning their Abitur degree in Mathematics & Physics from Ricarda-Huch-Schule, where they studied from 1992 to 2000. Sebastian then moved on to Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained their Diplom Media System Designer (FH) degree from 2001 to 2005. Following this, in 2005, Sebastian worked on their thesis on international project-based learning at Xi'an University of Posts and Telecommunications. Finally, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology from 2010 to 2011.
