Dr. Abdul Wajid

Dr. Abdul Wajid has over 25 years of experience in biopharmaceutical companies. Dr. Abdul has held various senior roles in companies such as Agenus LLC - West and XOMA, where they were responsible for all aspects of biologics development, clinical and commercial process development, and manufacturing. During their tenure, they successfully fostered the development of biologics with multiple IND submissions and prepared one BLA. Prior to this, Dr. Wajid worked as an Associate Director at Sanofi Pasteur, where they directed commercial scale-up processes and developed bacterial fermentation and downstream purification methods. Dr. Abdul also served as a Senior Manager at Biomira Inc., focusing on analytical and process development.

Dr. Abdul Wajid started their education by earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Chemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 1973. Dr. Abdul then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry from Pune University in 1975. Dr. Wajid continued their studies at the University of Bombay where they obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 1981.
