Ammar Sarwar

Senior Medical Advisor at Agile Devices

Ammar Sarwar is currently a Senior Medical Advisor at Agile Devices. Ammar has also served on the Board of Directors for Physicians Insurance Agency of Massachusetts from April 2013 to April 2016. Prior to that, they were a Moorefield Fellow in Healthcare Policy and Economics with the American College of Radiology from October 2012 to June 2014, where they gained valuable experience in patient and out patient reimbursement in medicine, specifically for radiology related codes. Ammar also interacted with the Brookings Institution to discuss payment reform efforts and visited CMS to discuss HOPPS methodology. Ammar is currently creating episode-of-care reimbursement models for medical imaging. From May 2012 to June 2014, they served as Chair of the Resident and Fellow Section for the Massachusetts Medical Society. Ammar is also an Associate Professor of Radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School and a Clinical Fellow in Radiology at Harvard Medical School (July 2009-June 2014). Prior to that, they completed an Internship at MetroWest Medical Center from July 2008 to July 2009 and a Post-doctoral Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital from September 2006 to June 2008.
