Sarah Mayes

Sarah Mayes has worked in various roles within the education and content creation industries since 2009. Sarah began their career as a Secondary Teacher for the Boise School District in 2009, where they taught English, Spanish 1 & 2, Art, and French & Spanish Cultures. Sarah also served as a Summer school instructor for English 9-10. In 2011, Sarah moved to Seattle Public Schools and worked as a Spanish Teacher. In 2012, they joined the Agile Impact Group as a Senior Content Manager and Copywriter, eventually becoming the Content Director. As Content Director, Sarah managed a team of contract writers, community managers, and social media strategists. Sarah was also responsible for developing the social media and content team, training new employees, creating training programs for Agile Impact and other companies, writing copy, and being editor-in-chief for the company blog. In 2018, Sarah was promoted to Chief Operations Officer, where they are responsible for content strategy and creation, brand communications, website management, and digital asset management. Sarah also works with brands to create and implement professional trainings, content and social media strategies, digital communities, and product rollouts.

Sarah Mayes attended Boise Senior High School from 2003 to 2005 and graduated with a High School Diploma. Sarah then attended the University of Idaho from 2005 to 2009 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English / Secondary Education. Sarah also completed two USAC Study Abroad programs in Costa Rica. In 2009, they obtained an Idaho Teaching Certificate in English / Language Arts & Spanish from the Idaho Dept. of Education. In 2012, they obtained a Washington Teaching Certificate in English/Language Arts from Washington OSPI.
