Sandeep Srikonda

Sandeep Srikonda has worked in a variety of roles in the robotics industry, beginning in 2015 with an internship in object tracking drones at NavStik Autonomous Systems. In 2016, they worked as a summer intern at General Electric India Technology Center, and also took on the role of team leader for academic research. In 2018, they completed a mobile robotics internship at John Deere Technology Innovation Center, where they worked on robotic simulations using ROS and Gazebo, navigation algorithms for autonomous robots, computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Robotics Engineer at the Autonomous and Unmanned Vehicle Systems Laboratory (AUVSL) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they applied modern machine learning approaches to develop controllers and motion planners for autonomous robot operations. In 2021, they took on the role of Robotics Application Engineer at Agility Robotics.

Sandeep Srikonda completed a Bachelor of Technology in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 2017. Following this, they attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 2019 with a Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
