Yves Georgy Daoud has held various roles in the engineering and research fields. In 2023, they began working as an Application Engineer for Agility Robotics. From 2020-2021, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at RISLab - Resilient Intelligent Systems Lab, where they improved the performance and reliability of autonomous systems, built an aerial robot, and developed a shortest path planning algorithm in C++. In 2019, they co-founded HiveMate, a company that assists beekeepers in remotely monitoring beehives, and they served as the Chief Product Officer. In 2018, they were a Research & Development Engineer at the American University of Beirut, where they initiated the design of a self-disinfecting service robot and established a set of human-centered design guidelines. Additionally, they were a Research & Development Intern at ITEC - Automate in 2019 and designed a high-speed and maintenance-free delta robot for pick-and-place applications.
Yves Georgy Daoud attended Collège Mariste Champville from 2001 to 2016, where they obtained a GS in General Sciences. Yves Georgy then attended American University of Beirut from 2016 to 2020, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Yves Georgy is currently enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University, where they are pursuing a Master of Science in Robotics, expected to graduate in 2022.
