Cathy Batteer

Cathy Batteer has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Cathy recently retired and is currently enjoying their retirement as a seasonal empty-nester. Prior to that, they worked at agilon health as the Senior Vice President, Payor Contracting Strategies, where they supported primary care physician practices in achieving value-based contracts with Medicare Advantage payors. Before that, they had their own consulting firm called Batteer Consulting. Additionally, Cathy worked at SCAN Health Plan as the Senior Vice President, Provider Integration & Partnerships and later as the Senior Vice President & General Manager, where they were responsible for provider network strategy development and statewide provider contracting and operations for a large Medicare Advantage plan. Cathy also served as the President of Northern CA & State Contracts at SCAN Health Plan. Prior to joining SCAN, Cathy worked at UPMC Health Plan as the Vice President, Medicare, overseeing the growth and management of a Medicare Advantage plan. Earlier in their career, they held various positions at PacifiCare, including Vice President, Health Services & Provider Delivery Systems and Vice President and General Manager, Central CA Market. Overall, Cathy has extensive experience in provider network management, payor contracting, and Medicare Advantage plan operations.

Cathy Batteer has a Masters in Public Administration with a focus on Health Care Administration from the University of Southern California. Cathy also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Planning and Administration from Penn State University.
