Prabu Arumugam

Prabu Arumugam has a strong background in software engineering and development. Prabu is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Agilysys since June 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Software Engineer II at Microsoft from February 2022 to May 2023.

Before Microsoft, Prabu worked at Honeywell as a Senior Advanced Software Engineer from February 2017 to February 2022. During their time at Honeywell, they were involved in software architecture, design, and development, with a focus on projects such as GoDirect Flight Services, Fuel-Efficiency mobile app, and Connected Engines mobile app. Prabu worked as a technical architect and lead developer for these projects.

Prabu also has experience working at Bally Technologies as a Lead Software Engineer from May 2013 to February 2017. During this time, they developed and debugged ASP.NET, WPF, and Silverlight applications, as well as native iOS and Android applications. Prabu also worked as a Lead Analyst from February 2012 to April 2013, developing ASP.NET, WPF, and Silverlight applications, and native applications for iPhone/iPad using Objective C in Xcode. Prabu started their tenure at Bally Technologies as a Senior Software Analyst from February 2011 to January 2012, where they gained a comprehensive understanding of the product flow and was involved in the development of UI Framework, Engine, and Services used in the product.

Prabu began their career at Brightspot Technology Solutions as a Senior Developer from November 2008 to February 2011. Prabu'sprimary responsibilities included project/database architecture design and implementation, as well as the development of core modules in Data Access, WCF Services, Business Logic, and GUI. Prabu also developed a unique method for building an OLAP cube without SSAS during their time at Brightspot Technology Solutions.

Prabu Arumugam has a strong education background in the field of Computer Science. Prabu earned their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from Bharathiar University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Prabu furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin, which they completed from 2022 to 2025.

In addition to their formal education, Prabu has also obtained two notable certifications. Prabu is a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals professional, having received this certification from Microsoft in August 2022. Prabu also holds a certification in Blockchain: Disruptive Technology, which they obtained from MIT Professional Education in September 2021. These certifications highlight their commitment to staying updated with the latest technologies and their expertise in the field.
