Saliha Yilmaz, PhD has a strong background in data science and genetic epidemiology. Saliha is currently working as an Associate Director of Data Science at Agios Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Scientist of Genetic Epidemiology at Rhythm Pharmaceuticals Inc. and as a Research Geneticist at Genuity Science. Saliha continued their education at Universite de Lorraine, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Genetics and Genomics from 2003 to 2007.

In addition to their academic achievements, Saliha Yilmaz obtained a certification in the business of science for scientists, specifically focusing on core business competencies necessary for the transition from academia to industry. This certification was obtained from The New York Academy of Sciences in October 2014.
