Jono Nilson

Jono Nilson is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Principal Originator at AGL since February 2023. Prior to this role, Jono worked at Lochard Energy as a Senior Commercial Advisor, focusing on the growth and management of a significant underground gas storage asset and supporting low emissions energy projects. Jono's background includes a position as Commercial Operations Advisor - Gas and Power at Shell, where extensive collaboration occurred with energy retailers, industrial users, and government bodies on the QGC LNG export project. Earlier experience includes participation in BG Group's International Graduate Development Programme and various roles related to gas and LNG contracts. Jono also lectured at The University of Queensland in Strategy, Economics, and Statistics. Academic qualifications include a Master of Commerce in Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Economics in International Trade & Finance from The University of Queensland.
