Maryam Bechtel serves as the General Manager, Cyber Security (CISO) at AGL since April 2022 and is a Board Member of the Executive Advisory Board Committee for the Australian Information Security Association (AISA) since January 2023, where contributions include industry insights and strategic direction. Involved with the Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN) since November 2018, Maryam has also held advisory roles at Sekuro and served as a Board Director for ISACA Sydney Chapter. Holding a Master of Science in Information and Communication Systems Security from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Maryam Bechtel possesses extensive expertise in cybersecurity strategy, operations, and risk management.
