Matthew Currie

Matthew Currie is currently serving as Group General Manager for Gas Assets, Renewables, and Asset Services at AGL, a position held since September 2022. Prior to this role, Matthew had an extensive career at BHP, holding various leadership positions including Vice President of the BHP Tailings Task Force and Vice President of Health Safety & Environment for Minerals Americas. Additional roles at BHP included General Manager for Marketing in both Iron Ore and Energy Coal, as well as Head of Global Logistics for Coal and Energy Coal Marketing. Matthew has also contributed to the boards of CMC - Coal Marketing DAC, globalORE, and the Port Hedland Port Authority. Matthew's educational background includes an MBA from Melbourne Business School and a BE (Hons) in Engineering from Monash University.
