Marcin Dera

Marcin Dera is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and machine learning, currently serving as the Associate Director of Engineering for FinTech at Agoda since November 2022. Marcin oversees a team of over 80 engineers and manages hybrid scrum teams, focusing on enhancing projects in tax, supplier payout, and consumer fintech domains. Prior to this role, Marcin was a Machine Learning Tech Lead at Meta, successfully leading cross-departmental projects across Facebook, Instagram, Ads, and Commerce. Marcin’s earlier career at Agoda included positions as Senior Software Development Manager and Software Development Manager, where significant contributions were made to machine learning applications and ad auction algorithms. Previous experience includes roles at WDS, Ocado Technology, and Motorola Solutions, showcasing a strong foundation in software engineering and system enhancements. Marcin holds a Master's degree in Computer Science (Applied Computer Science) and multiple Bachelor's degrees in Management and Computer Science from Jagiellonian University, complemented by an exchange program at the University of Copenhagen.
