Janet Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Janet is currently the Commercial Director at Agria Pet Insurance since 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Agria, including Director Partner Engagement & Strategy, UK Sustainability Lead, and Head of Veterinary. Before joining Agria, Janet worked as a Regional Organizer for the Veterinary Practice Managers Association from 2014 to 2019. Janet also served as the Head of Sales & Training at Simplyhealth from 2010 to 2016. Janet's career began in 1992 as an Advertising Manager at In Focus Publishing. Janet then moved on to Denplan, where they worked as a Business Development Consultant and later as a Regional Business Consultant until 2010.

Janet Hughes's education history includes studying Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge. Janet also completed a Leadership Course at Agria Djurforsakring - Lansforsakringar and Hult Ashridge. Additionally, they received training in Personal Performance Coaching from The Coaching Academy. Janet holds certifications in Carbon Neutral from Verra and Mental Health First Aid from New Skills Academy.
