Terry Thompson is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with over 30 years of experience in Canada's agriculture and food not-for-profit sector. Currently serving as a Special Advisor at the Agricultural Adaptation Council since May 1998, Terry has demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of strategies and partnerships, emphasizing financial management and fiscal responsibility. In addition, Terry holds roles at Canlead Solutions as Executive Director and Finance & Administration Manager since January 2020. Educational credentials include a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the Society of Management Accountants (2009-2010) and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business from the University of Guelph (1980-1984).

Agricultural Adaptation Council
At the Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC), we are leaders in administering funding programs. Since 1995, we’ve been committed to outstanding customer service and program delivery that is efficient, flexible, cost effective and accountable with a primary focus on the Ontario agriculture and agri-food industry. The AAC has a unique understanding of funding program requirements, farming and agribusiness. The AAC is a not-for-profit organization made up of over 60 Ontario agricultural, agri-food and rural organizations. It is our understanding of the broad needs of the industry that helps us make funding decisions and effectively deliver programs. Our team works directly with our funding partners and applicants through all aspects of program delivery - from designing the program, to the application process, until the projects and reporting are complete.
