Karen Noakes is a seasoned policing professional with extensive experience in leadership and consultancy roles. Currently serving as a Special Advisor in the Office of Professionalism, Respect, Inclusion, and Leadership with the Ontario Provincial Police since December 2020, Karen also operates as a consultant, leveraging expertise gained from previous roles including working with York Regional Police on a Professionalism Project and advising the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General on workplace culture within policing. A former Superintendent with York Regional Police, Karen managed various specialized units and conducted disciplinary hearings while contributing to significant operational improvements and community engagement initiatives. Education includes ongoing programs at the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, following foundational studies at Algonquin College.
