Julio Urzua is a seasoned veterinarian and expert in international trade with extensive experience in the coordination of market openings for agricultural exports. Currently serving as Médico Veterinario at Servicio Agrícola y Ganadero since July 2019, Julio facilitates the export of avian goods and negotiates zoning agreements for better market access. Previous roles include leadership positions in regulating livestock imports and coordinating efforts in the Southeast Asian market while serving as both the Head of the Subdepartment of Livestock Regulation and Imports and as a National Program Coordinator for Equine Health at the same organization. Additionally, Julio has experience as Technical Secretary of the Comité Veterinario Permanente del Cono Sur, directing activities across multiple South American countries, and as the Head of the International Trade Unit. Julio holds a Master's degree in Foreign Trade and International Finance from Universitat de Barcelona and a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Universidad de Concepción.
