Gabriel Mardegan has a diverse work experience in the agricultural industry. Most recently, they worked as the Head Trader at Agro.Club Brasil, a global AgTech solutions provider in Brazil. In this role, they focused on trading commodities such as soybeans, corn, and wheat. Before that, they served as the Commercial Business Development Manager at Rizoma Agro, where they played a key role in accelerating the growth of regenerative organic agriculture. Their responsibilities included B2B sales strategy and execution, structuring the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) department, and developing new agricultural partnerships. Gabriel also had experience in trading and selling organic inputs and grains, as well as developing customized projects for various food products.
Prior to these roles, Gabriel worked at Louis Dreyfus Company, where they started as a Commercial Analyst, responsible for ensuring the purchase and sale of raw materials for the industrial and trading operations. Gabriel also contributed to the commercial management by analyzing market variables and trends to make informed pricing decisions. Gabriel later became a Trader, overseeing the commercialization of citrus fruits and related products in the domestic and Latin American markets. Gabriel also had experience in selling fresh fruits for consumption.
Gabriel's earlier experience includes an internship at Agro100, where they gained practical knowledge in the agricultural sector. Gabriel also served as a Scholar at Capes, where they obtained valuable research experience.
Gabriel Mardegan has a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from UEL - Universidade Estadual de Londrina, which they obtained between the years 2009 and 2014. In 2011, they attended Dilit international school where they studied Italiano, but no degree was obtained. In 2012 and 2013, Gabriel attended Kansas State University where they focused on Agricultural Economics, commodities futures and trading, and marketing. Additionally, in 2013, they briefly studied Business Administration, with a specific focus on microeconomics and the study of labor, at San Francisco State University.
