MacKenzie Hird

Mackenzie Hird currently serves as the Managing Director of Business Development at AGT Food and Ingredients Inc., a position held since February 2022. Prior to this role, Mackenzie was the Director of Policy in the Office of the Minister and Special Representative for the Prairies from February 2021 to February 2022, and a Regional Advisor for the Prairies and North in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada from January 2020 to February 2021. Additional experience includes serving as a Special Assistant for Regional Affairs in the Minister's Regional Office in Regina and working as a Policy Analyst at Public Safety Canada. Earlier in the career, Mackenzie was a Graduate Research Assistant at MIT, and held various internships including at The National Academies and the Association of American Universities. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (incomplete) in Engineering Systems and a Master’s in Technology and Policy from MIT, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Texas at Dallas.
