Harjot Bal has over 15 years of work experience in mechanical engineering. In 2021, they began working as a Mechanical Engineer at Agtonomy. Prior to this, they worked at Chef Robotics as a Senior Mechanical Engineer from 2020-2021, where they designed, specked, and assembled mechanical and electrical structures for robotic modules. From 2010-2020, they worked at RYCO Equipment Inc. as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they directed operations in the design and manufacturing of food processing machines, researched industry demands, and developed innovative solutions. From 2006-2010, they worked at KPFF Consulting Engineers as a Design Engineer, where they executed engineering projects for federal and state entities and utilized hydraulic and hydrologic computer models. From 2006-2005, they worked at Sentinel Fire Equipment Co. as an Intern, where they designed layouts for fire sprinklers and fire alarms, and designed 2D and 3D models of fire hazardous restaurant kitchen appliances. Lastly, from 2005-2006, they worked at Amratec Engineering as an Intern, where they acquired hands on experience of precision drilling and tapping, power tools, and their calibration, and generated 3-dimensional models of complex aerospace and automotive parts.
Harjot Bal completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Technical University between 1998 and 2002. Harjot then pursued a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from California State University-Sacramento between 2004 and 2006.
