Gerardo Mella

Gerardo Mella has a long and varied work experience. Gerardo currently holds the position of Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at AGUNSA since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at SAAM S.A. from September 2020 to June 2023, where they held the role of Jefe División Transformación Digital & Innovación.

Before joining SAAM S.A., Gerardo held multiple roles at Iquique Terminal Internacional S.A., including Jefe de Sistemas y Comunicaciones from July 2018 to September 2020, Superintendente de Terminales from November 2016 to June 2018, and Jefe de Sistemas from October 2007 to October 2016.

In addition to their roles in the logistics industry, Gerardo also served as the Director of HUB TARAPACÁ from February 2018 to September 2020. Gerardo has also been a Docente (Teacher) at Universidad de Tarapacá from August 2019 to August 2020 and at Universidad Santo Tomás (CL) from March 2019 to December 2019.

Gerardo began their career as a Docente at DuocUC from August 1999 to October 2007. Prior to that, they worked as Jefe de Proyectos at SAAM S.A. from July 1994 to October 2007.

In 2019 and 2020, they pursued a Diplomatura in Gestión de la Transformación Digital at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Prior to this, they earned a degree in Ingeniero (E) Industrial from Universidad Arturo Prat from 2008 to 2011.
