After deciding what he wanted to be when he grew up at the tender age of four, Marty Holloran received a degree in mechanical engineering and never looked back. Since then, Marty has built a reputable engineering career on the successful delivery of some of the most challenging project types – science and technology, higher education and healthcare. His 35 years of experience include the Biogen 6 project, one of the first biotechnical projects in Cambridge at the Genzyme at One Kendall and the McCollum project at Harvard University. Marty remembers McCollum fondly as it was the firm’s first project at Harvard and was completed the same year his son Jake was born. In his role at the firm, Marty endeavors to deliver efficient designs on-time, within budget and with what he calls, “thoughtful enthusiasm.” He enjoys mentoring the young staff at AHA and providing solutions to problems – whether at work or in his personal life – with minimal stress. Because of this style, he is a calming force on any project team. To Marty, engineering is black and white: something either works or it doesn’t. And he is committed to leading project teams to ensure that for every client, AHA’s engineering solutions always work.
