Sherri Buehl, Deaconess, serves as the Volunteer Manager and Church & Community Engagement Coordinator at Flat Rock Homes, where responsibilities include scheduling engagements to secure financial and volunteer support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since 2015, Sherri has operated as a self-employed Retreat & Workshop Facilitator, leading workshops for church congregations, and has been a freelance consultant since 2012, advising non-profits on volunteer programming. As a Deaconess with the United Methodist Church, Sherri is part of a covenant community focused on mission-driven outreach. Sherri is a certified Bridges Out of Poverty trainer, emphasizing collaboration to alleviate poverty. Previous roles include Director of the Epworth Center, coordinating operations and community development efforts, and serving as District Treasurer for the Southern Hills District of East Ohio UMC. Education includes studies at New York Theological Seminary and ongoing coursework at Belmont Technical College, with a certification in grant writing.
