CEO at AhaMove

Ngon Pham is the current CEO of AhaMove, a position they have held since 2015. Prior to this, Ngon was the CTO of Webtretho from 2013 to 2015, and the Lead Engineer of Caterva from 2010 to 2013. Ngon has been instrumental in the success of all three companies.

At AhaMove, Ngon is responsible for leading the engineering team and developing a robust, scalable system to serve millions of users per month. Ngon also works closely with the product team to outline the design, research and code new ideas to develop a competitive advantage for the company.

Before joining AhaMove, Ngon was the CTO of Webtretho, the largest community for women in Vietnam with 10M+ monthly active users. Ngon was responsible for building a strong engineering team as well as a robust scalable system to serve millions of users per month. Ngon also worked directly with the product team in outlining the design, research and coded some new ideas to develop competitive advantage for the company. The company was acquired by Line in 2018.

Before joining Webtretho, Ngon was the Lead Engineer of Caterva from 2010 to 2013. Caterva was a funded US Big Data start-up (by Illinois Ventures, RPM Ventures, Serra Ventures) aiming to organize the world's social graph by people and interests. The company's main product, Mirror.me, reveals to individuals the virtualized identities that they project across the social web (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+). As the lead engineer, Ngon's responsibility was to design, code and manage some core parts of the system including: the web server (Tomcat, Spring, Solr), the database (MongoDB, MySQL), the crawler (Java) and data analyzed tasks (Hadoop); help to scale the system to hundred millions of profiles (AWS). The company was acquired by Facebook in 2013.

Ngon Pham has a Bachelor in Computer Science from Bach Khoa University (formerly Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology) and is certified from the Human Capital Leadership Institute (HCLI) in the Leaders Programme 2022.
