Lily Dao

Lily Dao is a Mechanical Engineering student at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, expected to graduate in 2025. Currently serving as a Project Manager and Mechanical Design Lead at Olin Plasma Engineering Lab, Lily leads a team in the design and fabrication of advanced ion thruster components. In addition, Lily works as a Data Analyst Intern at Ahearn Equipment, Inc., focusing on data analysis and visualization for sales trends in construction equipment. Previous experience includes an internship at Avalanche Energy, where Lily designed in-vacuum systems for beam diagnostics, and a role as a Product Support Engineer Intern at Kubota Tractor Corporation, where Lily analyzed service efficiencies and tested various mechanical systems. Additionally, involvement with Olin Electric Motorsports included designing steering systems and safety equipment for racing applications.
