Zainab Allawati

Zainab Allawati has extensive work experience in the finance and banking industry. Zainab started their career at EY in 2011 as an External Auditor and held this role until September 2014. In September 2014, they joined ahlibank as a Manager in the Investment Banking Services department. Zainab then progressed within the company, transitioning to various roles including Relationship Manager, Senior Relationship Manager, and Acting Unit Head in the Large Corporate and Al Hilal Islamic Banking Services divisions. In July 2020, Zainab became the Unit Head of Large Corporate, responsible for managing a team and overseeing all operations. In January 2022, they were promoted to the position of Head of Islamic Corporate Banking. Currently, Zainab holds the position of AGM - Head of Islamic Corporate Banking at ahlibank. Zainab'sfocus lies in corporate banking and they specialize in Islamic banking services.

Zainab Allawati's education history begins in 2006 when they enrolled at Sultan Qaboos University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting. Zainab completed their undergraduate studies in 2010. In 2012, Zainab attended the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy to obtain their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification in Accounting, which they completed in 2013.

In 2015, Zainab pursued further education at The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI), focusing on Islamic Studies. Zainab attained a Level 3 Certificate in Islamic Financial Qualification (IFQ) from The CISI in the same year.

Apart from their formal education, Zainab also earned additional certifications to enhance their skillset. In 2018, they completed the Project Finance Academy program at Euromoney Learning. Continuing their professional development, they attended a program on Women & Leadership in Global Business at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2019. Zainab further expanded their knowledge and capabilities by obtaining another certification in High Performance Leadership from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, in 2023.
