Karin Werger

Karin Werger is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law. Currently serving as the Director Corporate Legal Counsel at Ahold Delhaize since January 2007, Karin manages the corporate legal team, focusing on M&A, Treasury, ESG, and Insurance. Previously a Director Legal Counsel, responsibilities included leading the AH Legal management team and overseeing a team of eight lawyers. Karin's expertise encompasses business law, competition law, franchising, and intellectual property. Prior to Ahold Delhaize, legal experience included roles at Sara Lee International and Boekel De Nerée N.V., involving contract drafting, legal advice in marketing and media affairs, and litigation. Educational qualifications include governance executive education from Nyenrode Business University and various programs from prestigious institutions such as INSEAD and Cornell University.
