Tom Rood

Tom Rood has extensive work experience in various roles within the retail industry. Tom is currently the Head of Procurement at Ahold Delhaize, where they are responsible for sourcing and procurement savings across Europe. Prior to this, they held leadership positions at Albert Heijn, including roles as VP of Replenishment & Ahold Inbound Logistics, VP of Sourcing Groceries, and VP of Merchandising & Sourcing Drinks. Tom also served as a Senior Director at Etos, overseeing retail and store operations. Tom's early career included roles at Albert Heijn as a Site Manager and Category Manager, as well as at Ahold Global Sourcing as a Project Manager. Tom began their career at Albert Heijn Store Development as a Plannings Coordinator.

Tom Rood obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Marketing Management from Inholland University of Applied Sciences in 1995. From 1995 to 1998, they pursued another Bachelor's degree, this time in Finance, General, at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam).
