Mohamed Aref has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Mohamed started their career with an internship at Shell, where they created project plans and conducted data analysis on resource allocation for oil well drilling. Mohamed then joined Ahram Security Group as a Manufacturing Engineer, overseeing the installation of new machines and managing process improvement initiatives. Mohamed continued to advance in Ahram Security Group, taking on roles such as Quality Assurance Engineer, Lean Six Sigma Deployment Manager, and Production Manager. Mohamed achieved significant improvements in areas such as lead time reduction, process flow optimization, and machine changeover reduction. Additionally, Mohamed worked for Rogers Communications as a Senior Analyst in Process Improvement. Most recently, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Ahram Security Group.
Mohamed Aref obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (Beng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCL, where they studied from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their A Levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at New Cairo British International School, from 1998 to 2007. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Family Corporate Governance from the Institute Of Corporate Governance in 2012, Six Sigma Black Belt from Symbios Consulting in 2011, and Lean Black Belt from Symbios Consulting in 2010.
