Simon Chesterman

Simon Chesterman is an accomplished legal scholar with extensive experience in academia and international organizations. Currently serving as Vice Provost for Educational Innovation and Dean of NUS College at the National University of Singapore, Simon has held various prestigious titles including Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Law. In addition to roles at the National University of Singapore, Simon is Principal Researcher at the United Nations and Senior Director for AI Governance at AI Singapore. Former positions include Global Professor and Director of the NYU School of Law Singapore Program, as well as Executive Director at the Institute for International Legal Studies. Simon's academic credentials include a D.Phil in International Law from the University of Oxford and dual undergraduate degrees from the University of Melbourne, complemented by a Diploma in Chinese Language from Beijing International Studies University.
