Neil Castro

Neil Castro is a seasoned professional in risk management and governance, currently serving as Risk and Governance Manager at AIA Australia since October 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Manager of Risk and Compliance at The Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society Limited from January 2015 to July 2024, and Manager of Savings & Investment Services at Colonial First State. Neil also held positions such as Team Leader for Essential Super & Group Super at Colonial First State and Team Manager for Direct Life Insurance at CommInsure, where leadership contributed to the development of a high-performing team culture. Neil began their career in customer service roles, ultimately gaining a strong foundation in asset re-marketing and collections. Academically, Neil holds a Bachelor of Theology from Southern Cross College and completed secondary education at St. Marys Senior High School.
