Theresa Matthews

Theresa Matthews has over 30 years of work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Theresa is currently serving as the Controller at AIA Contract Documents since October 2021. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2021, they worked as the Division Controller at International Vitamin Corporation.

From 2015 to 2019, Theresa worked at The Gordian Group as the Controller, where they managed a staff of 20 employees and oversaw various financial functions. Theresa implemented new controls and processes for closing the books and reconciling accounts, resulting in faster and more accurate financial results. Theresa also led the implementation of a new ERP system to improve reporting.

Before that, they served as the Controller and Assistant Controller at Proterra Inc from 2012 to 2015. In 2012, they briefly worked as the CFO at Crawford Strategy and as a Consultant, Interim CFO at Orian Rugs, Inc.

From 2006 to 2012, Theresa worked at Resolute Forest Products in roles including Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Director of Financial Reporting. Theresa managed staff and was responsible for accounting policies, training, and coordinating audits.

From 2001 to 2006, they worked at Jacuzzi Brands, Inc. as the Assistant Controller, where they managed the corporate accounting department and played a key role in various corporate projects. Theresa also helped streamline processes and reduce costs.

Theresa began their career at Deloitte LLP in 1992 as a Senior Auditor. During their time there, they gained experience in audit and accounting.

Theresa Matthews pursued their education at the University of Florida, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science in Accounting between the years 1985 and 1989. Subsequently, they continued their studies at the same university and earned a Master of Accounting degree in the field of Accounting from 1990 to 1991.
