Teran Withange

Teran Withange serves as the Head of Actuarial Services at AIA since March 2021, overseeing a team of nine professionals in key reporting functions under IFRS 17, including Embedded Value and Value of New Business. Prior roles at AIA include Senior Manager Actuarial Services and Actuarial Services Manager, where responsibilities encompassed the preparation and review of IFRS 4 financial statements and solvency calculations. Professional experience also includes managerial roles at Aviva and Eagle Insurance PLC, along with a comprehensive educational background featuring a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colombo and ongoing fellowship pursuits in Actuarial Science from the Society of Actuaries and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
