Jesse Lazar has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2005, Jesse worked as a Research Intern at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. In 2007, Jesse worked as an Account Executive at Vault, Inc. Following that, Jesse joined the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America as a Program Assistant in 2005. In 2008, Jesse became a Programs Manager at AIA New York, where they worked until 2010. In 2011, Jesse worked as a Consultant at Great Place to Work® and as an MBA Summer Intern at AllianceBernstein. Jesse then joined the Center for Architecture as a Development Consultant in 2012. Later that year, Jesse started working as a Senior Project Manager at the New York City Economic Development Corporation. In 2014, they returned to AIA New York as the Director of Development until 2016, when they became the Senior Director of External Affairs until 2017. From 2017 to 2023, Jesse served as the Deputy Director at AIA New York, and in February 2023, became the Interim Executive Director.
Jesse Lazar obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from The George Washington University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2012, focusing on the fields of Strategy, Marketing, and Organizational Development.
