Nick Orenstein is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at HStar, where responsibilities include leading human spaceflight-related engineering, production, and regulatory compliance efforts while collaborating on business development and global partnerships. Orenstein serves as a Board Member for the Global Space Industry Trade Association, focusing on workforce development for underrepresented communities, and participates in the AIAA UAP Community of Interest Outreach Sub-Committee to enhance aerospace safety. With a background that includes roles as a Crew Equipment Engineer at SpaceX and a Graduate Research Assistant at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Orenstein has a solid foundation in astronautical engineering, holding a Ph.D. and an M.S. from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University.
