Riku Seppälä

Riku Seppälä has been a General Partner at Icebreaker.vc since 2016. In 2018, they became Lead Investor and Board Member at Sellforte, a pre-seed stage company that provides a marketing ROI solution. Riku also became Lead Investor at FinnAdvance, a front-runner in the development of biomimetic systems, and Puida, a CreaOps tool that supports digital artists' workflow. In 2019, they became Lead Investor in Sense of Space, a company that works in the next generation of entertainment creation, and in 2020 they became Lead Investor at Cachet. Additionally, they have been Lead Investor and Board Member at Aibidia, an angel stage regtech company, Investor at Dashbird, a pre-seed stage leader in Monitoring for Serverless infrastructure, Lead Investor at MVision, an angel stage company that streamlines cancer treatment planning, and Lead Investor at Cerenion, an angel stage company that enables better care for ICU patients.

Riku Seppälä began their educational journey in 1999, when they attended Brändö Gymnasium. Riku then attended Mattliden from 1999 to 2001, followed by Polyvalente d'Iberville from 2001 to 2002. In 2004, they began attending both Aalto University and Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, where they earned a Master's Degree in International Business, Strategy and Entrepreneurship, Information Systems from Aalto University and a Master's Degree in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Information Systems, and System and Operations Research from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan in 2009 and 2010, respectively. In 2007 and 2008, they attended Fudan University as an exchange student, studying Chinese and Economics. Finally, they attended Smedsby at an unspecified time.
